International ame awards®, for advertising & marketing effectiveness Announces 2010 Winners; International Grand Trophy Awarded to SapientNitro, South Brisbane, Australia for "Best Job in the World"
Sapient Nitro, South Brisbane, BBDO/Proximity Canada, and HEIMAT Werbeagentur Gmbh, Berlin, Awarded Newly Minted Regional International AME Platinum Trophies
New York, NY – April 22, 2010: The International ame awards®, for advertising & marketing effectiveness announced the 2010 award winners today. The International AME GrandJury® awarded one Grand Trophy, three AME® Platinum Trophies, as well as nine Gold International AME Awards®, sixteen Silver Awards, and eighteen Bronze Awards. Twenty-seven entries received AME Finalist Certificates.
SapientNitro of South Brisbane, Australia was awarded the prestigious International AME® Grand Trophy for their entry “Best Job in the World” for Tourism Queensland - Islands of the Great Barrier Reef, winning in the Tourism category. The winning campaign launched the brand Islands of the Great Barrier Reef across eight international markets, and recruited people online to apply for the “Best Job in the World”. The results of this ground breaking campaign included Global media coverage valued at over $368 million (US) from a budget of $1.2 million (US). In addition, the site received 34,684 one minute video job applications from 197 countries, and reached a global audience of approximately 3 billion.

Three companies were awarded the distinguished honor of receiving the AME® Platinum Trophy: SapientNitro of South Brisbane, Australia was awarded the Asia Pacific Platinum Award Winner for “Best Job in the World” for Queensland Tourism; BBDO/Proximity of Toronto, Canada was honored as the North America Platinum Award Winner for “Gillette Body Shaving” for client P&G - Gillette; and HEIMAT Werbeagentur GmbH of Berlin, Germany was the European Platinum Award Winner for “House of Imagination” for client HORNBACH.
Juniper Park of Toronto, Canada was awarded the 2010 International AME® Green Award, honoring an entry whose objective emphasizes resource conservation, for their television commercial “Building a Preeminent Green Brand” for client SunChips. The entry introduces the world’s first fully compostable bag, made from renewable plant based materials that decompose in just 14 days.
AME’s GrandJury® also announced nine Gold winners from around the globe. SapientNitro, Brisbane received three Gold AME Awards® for “The Best Job in the World”, winning in the following categories: Integrated (Mixed Media), Public Relations, and Social Media. HEIMAT Werbeagentur GmbH of Berlin, Germany was awarded three Gold Awards, two for “Imagination Beats Aggressiveness” for client HORNBACH, winning in the Integrated (Mixed Media) and Retail Stores categories, and an additional Gold Award for “How to Beat the Financial Crisis” for client Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken in the Banks / Financial Services / Insurance category. Jung von Matt of Berlin, Germany was honored with the Gold Award for “The Biggest Concert in the World” for client Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra, winning in the Events Marketing category. JWT Mumbai, India was awarded a Gold AME Award® for “Teach India” for client The Times of India, in the Public Service and Not-for-Profit category. Gotham Inc. of New York, USA received the Gold AME Award® for “We Each Have What It Takes to Make an Imprint” for client Mandela Day, winning in the Low Budget category.
